Most residential garages are a one-day install for flake polyaspartic systems. Metallic and marbleized systems typically run 2–3 days including cure between coats.
Foot traffic within 4–6 hours of the final topcoat. Vehicle return in 24–48 hours depending on ambient temperature and the system installed.
A properly prepped slab, correctly primed with joints honored, will not crack the coating in normal use. Cracks in the underlying concrete can telegraph — which is why prep and joint treatment aren't optional.
Epoxy is the workhorse base — hard, adhesive, chemical-resistant. Polyaspartic is a faster-curing, UV-stable topcoat that won't amber in sunlight. Most of our systems use both: epoxy where you want thickness and bond, polyaspartic where you want a wear layer that stays clear.
